Should religious tolerance apply to religions that promote the abuse of women?

I saw the story on the news as well and the woman actually wants to be punished in public?! I don't know if she drank so she could get caught to be canned in public? Any way, it seems a bit backwards to me. I don't believe in that sort of behaviour, and I don't think human rights should be pushed aside in the name of some 'religion'
