Is society progressing into an overly ual environment?

I'm 47 and so remember even more "innocent" times. I have seen Society change greatly. It is because since the 70's more children are exposed to "adult" themed media. There used to be a "family time" and a "prime time" on television. Too many people having babies didn't want to restrict their adult interests around children, so the solution has been to expose children much too early to adult things. This has resulted in those children growing up with no restraint on their behavior. Society as a whole has regressed instead of progressed. There is very little accountability and responsibility taught today. True progression is being able to control your baser instincts and rise above them, rather than give in to them. How can something be progressive when self-respect and respect for others has become unfashionable? Did the women fighting for the vote and equality foresee the day when their descendants would say "It's the 21st century. We're all sluts and that's cool"? I have actually heard this from a young woman in response to this woman's younger sister saying she liked dressing conservatively rather than provocative.
