Vacuum cleaner is not picking hair from the floor?

If it has a removable hose that you place different attachment on to, pull that hose off, then look down into the connector it was hooked to. If hose you pulled has plenty of suction, blockage is back toward the brush. If hose has very little suction its stopped up.
